Thrilled to participate in my 1st ever Twitter chat, sharing PLAY-based activities and tips. WHY? To help parents get kiddos PLAYING of course! (Remember: All PLAY is Learning!) I owe the chat to my friend Mike Prochaska. Mike is one of the (currently) rare men in early childhood education. He works with children in various capacities–one as a home daycare provider with his Dads Adventure Day Care. I think it’s fantastic he’s encouraging more men to work in ECE. He’s also a huge proponent for PLAY! You can see why we have a lot in common!
Mike suggested 30Seconds choose me for one of their weekly Twitter chats. I am grateful to him and 30Seconds! To say I was excited–and yes, more than a little nervous too–is an understatement. I would have jumped over the moon if I could!

#30Seconds In-Depth: Bring on Spring & Bring on Play With Childhood Educator Teacher Karen!
After my hour of being LIVE on the Twitter chat I stayed up several hours more going through the different tweets people put up. Minimally I wanted to acknowledge their comments by liking them. As much as possible, I tried to reply to their comments and/or add my 2 cents to their thoughts. There were a lot of fantastic comments and tips that were contributed by those participating in the chat–30Seconds really has created a committed, caring community!
Yours in Play!
Teacher Karen
