Firefighters need dependable fire trucks to deliver them to the scene of the emergency. This 4’ long Fire Truck Floor Puzzle is just that! It’s built to last with extra-thick cardboard pieces. The pieces (24 total) are large—read easy to manipulate and hard to lose—and easy to wipe clean if sticky fingers were used to put the puzzle together!

If this is the first jigsaw puzzle your child has done help them to develop a strategy. It can be a challenging puzzle in that it isn’t square or rectangular with those shapes’ straight edges, but there’s a definite bottom, middle and top to its construction. Using the box as a visual aid, you might need to point out the ladder, hoses, and windows—plus don’t forget to highlight the window with the dog—and the bright yellow stripe running along the side of the truck. Help to loosely arrange the pieces from bottom to top and then ask your kidlet if they can find a couple pieces that fit together.

IMHO the wheels are the most difficult area, but even with that, the younger preschool children—perhaps with extra encouragement and/or involvement from parents—will eventually succeed!
