Bats have a (undeserved) reputation for being scary. Of course part of that is because they’re used in Halloween decorations and horror films. This is unfortunate because bats provide a critical service for the environment. If more people knew how much good they do, they’d overlook any spookiness associated the them. So here’s to BATS and young children changing that perception!
